Electronic Resources from the New York State Library

New York State employees, including Stony Brook University faculty and staff, can access online journals and databases available from the New York State Library. To enable access, a State Library borrower's card must be obtained. While there is overlap between our holdings and those available from the State Library, many resources are available which are not part of our collection.

More Springer Titles Now Available

Almost 1700 titles published online by Springer are now available thanks to the Library's participation in a new contract sponsored by the NERL (Northeast Research Libraries) Consortium. Each title is linked from the Electronic Journals page and can also be accessed from the Springer site.

ScienceDirect Scheduled Maintenance

On Saturday, 10 January, ScienceDirect will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance for approximately eight hours starting at 2:30 p.m., EST.

How to update EndNote

1. Update installed EndNote X2 or X2.0.1 using Program Updates. Within EndNote , choose " EndNote Program Updates" from the "Help" menu.

WINDOWS NOTE: While the update/installer is titled X2.0.2, the "About EndNote " description remains "X2.0.1 (Build 3514)" after installation. This version of the update does not require users to uninstall and reinstall the program.

2. Alternatively EndNote X2 users can download the free update at http://www.endnote.com/support/ENX201_WinMac_updater.asp

**The temporary online search results are back in this updated version! Now you can choose between having results automatically stored in the library or kept separate for more selectivity.
